Brit singer Olly Murs visits center for disabled

Olly Murs, the Brit pop star, visited a center for disabled kids where he posed for snaps, signed autographs and also listened to the inspiring tales of the families that go there. The runner of the X Factor has spent 2 and half hours with the kids who have conditions such as cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome as well as delays in their development at Brainwave centre in Witham on 13th August, Wednesday.

The thirty one year old singer is a supporter of the charity that is based in Newland Street and arranged collections at all his television fund raisers and concerts for the charity. One of the families was more than happy to see the singer with 6 year old Georgia giving Olly Murs a card and loom band she had made herself.

Donna Elwell, 36, told that Olly Murs was really very interested and so down to earth, he had so much time for everyone and sat chatting to all the kids, and Olly Murs was really impressed with Georgia’s effort and the amount of money she raised. Georgia spent the whole summer making hundreds of bands and she did it totally off her own back.

Harry, Georgia’s younger brother, has mitochondrial disease and he goes to the Brainwave for regular healing sessions. She has raised £40 for the charity work by selling her homemade bands to relatives, friends as well as other parents waiting to meet Murs. Donna told that he was absolutely lovely, she have met him before when Harry was fifteen months old and they had been told Harry would not be able to walk or sit unaided.
